Hi, I’m Jake Spry! Graduate from Huddersfield University with a First Class Honours degree, and after 2 years in the design industry, I’ve honed my skills across the Adobe Suite and specialise in UX/UI design using Figma and Webflow. For me, design is all about creating meaningful, user-friendly experiences that combine creativity and functionality. A PASSION FOR CREATIVE DESIGN
I’ve been immersed in Graphic Design since high school, continuing my studies through college and onto university, where I graduated with a First Class Honours. My academic journey gave me a solid foundation in design principles, and I’ve since built on that with 2 years of hands-on industry experience.
PERSONAL
My passion for design started in high school, where I first discovered how much I loved creating visuals that tell a story. Since then, design has been at the centre of everything I do. I’m always seeking out new ways to challenge myself creatively and push the boundaries of my work. Whether it’s experimenting with new tools, exploring new trends, or finding fresh inspiration, I thrive on the process of turning ideas into impactful visuals.
EDUCATION
I continued my journey into design through college and then onto university, where I studied Graphic Design at Huddersfield University. My hard work paid off when I graduated with a First Class Honours, solidifying my skills across design theory, practical application, and user-centred approaches. My time at university really helped me develop my creative problem-solving abilities and equipped me with the technical skills needed to excel in the field.
WORK
With 2 years of industry experience, I’ve worked on a variety of projects, from branding and visual identity to UX/UI design. I’ve had the opportunity to collaborate with teams, clients, and developers, honing my ability to create designs that are both visually striking and functional. This hands-on experience has helped me refine my design process, ensuring I deliver thoughtful, engaging solutions that meet real-world needs.
